We are very happy to announce that Andreas Brogaard Buhl is joining PEM as a partner.
Andreas holds an MBA from Aarhus University (2024) and a MSc in Biology and Environmental Management from the University of Copenhagen (1990).
With more than 30 years of senior leadership experience, he brings deep expertise in environmental management, sustainable finance, and Environment, Social and Governance (ESG) across international organizations, public institutions, and private companies. His areas of expertise include international investment standards, risk management, due diligence, corporate and institutional governance, climate change mitigation, biodiversity and conservation, capacity building, results-based reporting and impact evaluation.
Andreas has served as a member of IFU’s Investment Committee (now Impact Fund Denmark) and as editor of key IFU policies (Climate Policy, Sustainability Policy, and Corporate Governance Policy). He has also been a board member of the UN Global Compact Network Denmark, and a development and aid quality assurance advisor to the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA).
He has led multidisciplinary consultant teams during formulation, appraisal and review missions and secured supplementary financing for projects. His country experience spans South America and Central America; Eastern, Northern, Southern Africa; and South-Eastern Asia.
