Our story
1995
Founding: PEM was established by a core team of development consultants bringing together broad cross-sectoral expertise.
2002
Expansion: PEM East Africa was established in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.
Over the years, our expertise has grown to cover programme design, evaluation, technical assistance, including capacity development across our three key thematic areas: inclusive and sustainable economic development, environment and climate change, and governance, human rights and civil society.
Our Copenhagen headquarters is led by eight partners and four staff members. Beyond our partly owned subsidiary, PEM East Africa, we have an extensive global network of consultants, international experts and local experts, enabling us to deliver high quality support across key regions and thematics.
