The Geneva Technical Hub (GTH), established in April 2021 by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) and the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), seeks to enhance UNHCR’s capabilities in various areas, including preparedness, disaster risk reduction, energy & environment, water, sanitation and hygiene, shelter & settlement, site planning, and protection. Integrated within UNHCR’s Division of Resilience and Solutions (DRS) at its headquarters, the SDC’s support to the GTH aims to achieve specific outcomes aligned with greening humanitarian aid. PEMconsult has conducted an evaluation of the GTH by analysing the implementation, collaboration and achievements of the initiative. A crucial aspect of the evaluation was to identify main takeaways and recognise good practices for providing recommendation for the next period spanning from 2024-2027.
