The OECD Development Assistance Committee organized a peer learning visit to the European Commission on environment and climate change mainstreaming yesterday, as DAC members recently identified ‘managing and mainstreaming environmental concerns’ as a priority challenge. Representatives from DFID (UK), Sida (Sweden), AECID (Spain), OECD and IIED participated. Kris B. Prasada Rao made a presentation of the findings and recommendations from the Strategic evaluation of the EU’s support to environment and climate change in third countries (2007-2013) on how effectively relevant environment and climate change issues are integrated in EU’s development assistance.
