Pihla Haapalo

Pihla holds a Master of Science degree in Geography and Geoinformatics from the University of Copenhagen with a specialisation in Human Geography. During her studies, Pihla focused in sustainability, livelihood, and climate justice topics, and conducted fieldwork in Lao PDR.

Pihla has experience in Kenya, Vietnam, Sri Lanka, and Albania, in the context of local development projects.

As a Project Officer, Pihla’s responsibilities in PEM secretariat include tendering and the coordination of the framework contracts. She ensures the quality of the expression of interests and project proposals along with managing general office administration.
