Justiina is soon to graduate from MSc in Climate Change from the University of Copenhagen. She holds a bachelor’s degree in international relations from Malmö University. By combining studies in international relations with the interdisciplinary study of climate change, Justiina has focused on climate governance and mitigation and adaptation processes, while also gathering an understanding of the physical processes on Earth system and ecosystem ecology level. She is passionate about climate justice and the promotion of Indigenous Peoples’ rights, particularly the meaningful integration of those rights into policies, strategies and implementation processes.
Justiina has international experience working in Australia and Malaysia and has contributed to a Climate Change and Environmental Sustainability Program in the Greater Mekong Subregion.
As a Student Assistant, she supports the work of the PEM secretariat through responsibilities related to tendering, administrative management, and coordination.
