Process consultancy for preparation and programme formulation regarding Danish support to IRENA 2023 – 2027

Denmark has supported IRENAs Long Term Planning Programme (LTP) from 2018 to 2021 with DKK 40 million. The LTP programme was reviewed in 2021, and key recommendations from the review will form an important input to the formulation process. Further, Denmark has supported IRENA’s SIDS Lighthouse 2.0 programme from 2019 to 2022 with DKK 50 million. The Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA), the Danish Ministry of Climate, Energy and Utilities (MCEU) and IRENA have agreed to formulate one new programme for future Danish support for IRENA, to increase efficiency and effectiveness, and optimize the use of resources for all parties involved. Danida has contracted PEM to provide process consultancy support in preparing a four year (2023-2027) contribution to IRENA amounting to DKK 135 million.
