PEM recently completed the evaluation of the “Waters Governance and Blue Peace” program, launched 10 years ago, and established against the background of a growing population, economic development, and climate change. This program aims to contribute to enhancing cooperation in transboundary surface and ground waters.
The evaluation assessed the overall progress of the program and reflected on the relevance and coherence of the program’s overall objective and strategic direction. PEM also assessed the programme against expectations to capture its efficiency, effectiveness, impact, and sustainability. Project visits were carried out to Peru, Bolivia, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Mozambique, and SouthAfrica.
