Evaluation of Sida’s support to MEDRC

PEM under association with NIRAS is carrying out an external evaluation of Sida’s support to Middle East Desalination Research Centre’s (MEDRC) project fostering regional cooperation on transboundary water management. The overall objective of MEDRC is “to contribute to the peace process in the Middle East and to the raising of the standard of living of the people of the Middle East and elsewhere by improving the technical processes involved in water desalination” (Establishment Agreement, 1996). Evaluators are consulting stakeholders in Jordan, Israel and Palestine to gain insights into the relevance, efficiency, effectiveness and sustainability of the activities.
