Kris has a master degree in human geography with a focus on natural resource management and rural livelihoods from University of Copenhagen. 

Kris has 17 years of experience as international consultant, programme and project manager and advisor, including experience from positions in the UN system and international NGOs. He has carried out numerous assignments in more than 35 countries in Africa, Asia, Europe and the Americas for a broad range of multilateral institutions, bilateral donors, and NGOs – including the EU, UNDP, UNEP, UNOPS, IFAD, Danida, Sida, GIZ, DfID, FAO, and WWF.

Kris is well versed in all stages of the programme cycle, including identification, formulation implementation and management. In particular, he is specialised in evaluation of multi-country policy and capacity development programmes, complex country programmes (including budget support), as well as on-the-ground projects. Kris also has experience with policy formulation, and he has strong network and knowledge management experience.
